In short

This app has no accounts. No sign-up, no login.

Only three things ever leave your device — what you send when you tap [Send feedback]; while a window is playing, a signal that counts how many people are watching it right now; and, if the app crashes, where it crashed.

Your study time, settings and volumes stay on your device. We cannot see them.

What reaches us when you send feedback

When you tap [Send] in Settings → Send feedback, the following comes with it. Before sending, you can tap "Device and version are included" on that screen to see the full list.

Why the device and version: a report like "zooming is slow" cannot even be reproduced without knowing which device and which build. We collect nothing beyond what it takes to fix things.

We do not store your IP address. To stop one source from flooding us we keep 8 bytes of an irreversible hash — enough to count, not enough to identify anyone.

"5 people watching" — how that number is counted

While a window is playing, once a minute two things go to our server.

All we do with it is count how many people are at the same window. After 90 seconds of silence the row is deleted — we keep no history. Who watched what, and when, does not remain with us.

On the browsing screens (globe and list) the app only receives the numbers; it sends nothing. Looking around is not watching.

We show the number only from 2 people up. Telling you "1 person" when that person is you is talking to yourself, not informing you.

What arrives when the app crashes

If the app quits unexpectedly, iOS keeps a record and hands it to the app the next time you open it. That is the only thing the app forwards to us.

What arrives: the device model (e.g. iPad13,4), the iOS version, the app version, and which code it crashed in (the call stack).

Who you are does not arrive. No user identifier, no device identifier, and not which window you were watching — none of it is needed to fix the crash.

This is not real time. iOS delivers these in a daily batch, so a report arrives some time after the crash, not at the moment it happens.

What we do not collect

Where it is kept, and for how long

Feedback you send is stored on Cloudflare servers in the Asia-Pacific region.

We keep it for 12 months, then delete it. Once it has been used to fix something there is no reason to hold it longer.

If you want it deleted

Send "please delete my feedback" through Settings → Send feedback. If you left a reply address we will tell you once it is done.

Records on your device (study time, settings) can be cleared yourself with Settings → Erase records stored on this device, and they disappear if you delete the app.

Outside services the app uses

Children

This app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn we have, we delete it.

If this changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes. Any change that adds something we collect will be announced inside the app first.
